Explanation
にて is a formal, somewhat literary particle used after a noun to indicate location, time, method, or manner in which something occurs. It’s more common in written language, official notices, announcements, and contracts than in everyday speech. It often replaces で in contexts where the speaker wants a more formal tone or wants to emphasize the setting or means by which an action is performed. You’ll see it in business letters, event notices, or official statements. Note that it is not interchangeable with で in casual conversation, and it may be contracted or avoided in informal writing.
このイベントは会場にて開催されます。
このいべんとはかいじょうにてかいさいされます。
This event will be held at the venue.
銀行にて手続きを済ませました。
ぎんこうにててつづきをすませました。
I completed the procedures at the bank.
