Explanation
To entrust or delegate responsibility for something to someone else. The thing being entrusted is marked with を, and the person or role to whom it is entrusted is marked with に. This pattern is used when you want to express that someone else will handle a task, decision, or responsibility, and you no longer manage it yourself.
この件は彼に任せる。
このけんはかれにまかせる。
Leave this matter to him.
私はこのイベントの運営をスタッフに任せることにした。
わたしはこのイベントのうんえいをスタッフにまかせることにした。
I decided to entrust the management of this event to the staff.
彼女に買い物を任せておいたら、ちゃんと全部買ってきてくれた。
かのじょにかいものをまかせておいたら、ちゃんとぜんぶかってきてくれた。
If I left the shopping to her, she bought everything properly.
その難しい判断は上司に任せよう。
