以来 marks the time after which something has continued or changed, indicating that the situation has held true from that point onward. Contexts typically involve long-lasting states, changes in habits, or a lasting condition that began in the past.

日本へ来て以来、彼とは会っていない。

にほんへきていらい、かれとはあっていない。

I haven't met him since I came to Japan.
