Noun + だったっけ

Sentence-ending particle + っけ (memory recall)

Explanation
っけ is a sentence-ending particle used when the speaker is trying to recall or confirm information that they think they remember, or to double-check something they were told or heard. It adds a nuance of uncertainty and a request for confirmation, akin to saying “Was it that…?”, “Did you say…?”, or “I can’t quite recall, but…” in English. It often follows plain form past tense or plain form of adjectives and nouns. It can also appear after a whole clause to turn it into a tentative recollection question. It is more casual and used in conversations with people you know well; in formal speech, more neutral forms are preferred. Typical contexts include confirming plans, remembering details, or seeking confirmation about someone’s statement. When using っけ, tone and context signal whether you are asking for confirmation or expressing uncertainty about your memory.
