About this pattern
Explanation
Use まで after a verb in its dictionary form to express that something continues until that action is completed, or that something happens by the time that action occurs. It marks the endpoint in time or in a sequence. It can describe waiting, continuing an action, or stopping at that point. Do not confuse with までに, which denotes a deadline to meet or complete something by a certain time. The subject can be shown or understood from context.
