Explanation

予定だ expresses that something is planned or scheduled. It can attach to a verb in its dictionary form to indicate the plan to do that action, or to a noun to indicate a plan regarding that thing. It’s used for near-future plans that are reasonably certain, and sounds more concrete than simple intentions.

明日映画を見る予定だ。

あしたえいがをみるよていだ。

I plan to watch a movie tomorrow.
