な-Adjective + Noun

Na-adjectives behave like adjectives in Japanese when they come before a noun, by adding な between the adjective and the noun. This form directly describes the noun that follows (e.g., きれいな花 = a beautiful flower). In predicative position, the na-adjective uses だ/です (e.g., 花はきれいだ). This pattern is common in everyday speech and writing and is fundamental at the N5 level.
