Explanation
ことになる is used to express outcomes, consequences, or decisions that are decided by someone else, by circumstances, or by fate rather than by the speaker’s direct choice. It can describe: 1) a future result that is decided or made official by others, 2) an outcome that follows from a situation, 3) something that turns out to be the case after considering information or events. It often implies a sense of inevitability or official status, rather than a simple plan the speaker has chosen.
会議は延期されることになった。
かいぎはえんきされることになった。
