あげる

あげる is used when the speaker or someone inside the speaker’s group gives something to another person. It focuses on the act of giving from the giver to the recipient. The recipient is marked with に (or へ in less common or more emphatic cases), and the thing given is marked with を. In casual speech it can be used for giving things, time, help, or even offerings and presents. Be mindful of polite form あげます/あげました when speaking politely.
