一方だ

一方だ is used to describe a trend or development that increasingly moves in one direction. It emphasizes that things are changing steadily toward a certain state (often negative or worsening, but it can be positive). The pattern attaches to a verb, an i-adjective in its なる form, or a noun + の, and is commonly used with topics marked by は or の as the subject.
