Usage
どんなに + adj (い/な) / verb (dictionary form) + ても
どんなに + adj (い/な) + ても
どんなに + N + でも / どんなに + N + でも、それでも + ...
Explanation
どんなに〜ても expresses extreme or maximal degree and is used to convey that no matter how much something is done or how something is, the result does not change. It sets up a hypothetical extreme and then emphasizes that the outcome remains the same, often with a sense of frustration, determination, or resignation. Common contexts include wishing for a different outcome, expressing effort without success, or emphasizing limits or disbelief about possibilities. The clause before ても can be any verb, adjective, or noun phrase (with appropriate form) and is followed by ても to indicate “even so/though.” In everyday use, it often appears in sentences about effort, difficulty, or persistence, sometimes paired with それでも or それに to contrast with the outcome.
